SRFC wins the 2021 Intangible Award

When we talk about the financial health of clubs, we think of the mercato with its purchases and sales or of the various revenues (TV rights, ticketing, merchandising, sponsoring...). Ginkyo, a firm of experts in intangible capital, has gone further by analyzing the hidden wealth of clubs. According to them, 84% of the intangible value of the human capital of the players comes from the training center. Taking into account the value of the Red and Black Academy, Stade Rennais F.C. comes out on top of the Ligue 1 intangible price 2021.

Pierre Caillet, director of Ginkyo, tells us a little more about the approach of this complex analysis. "We evaluate the value of players from the training center for each club. We also focus on the quality of the professionalization. It's not because you train players that they will have a place at the professional level. We also analyze the playing time of young players." It is therefore the ability to train and accompany young people well in the professional world that is highlighted here. A performance that confirms the sports strategy of the Stade Rennais F.C., the investment and the quality of the work done at the center. "We base our analysis on the latest data provided by the DNCG on June 30, 2020. The quality of the center, at this date, is now concretely translated into good sports results with young players who have their place in the first team." For the award ceremony, SRFC, which succeeds Olympique Lyonnais, was represented by Romain Danzé, ambassador and head of development for Stade Rennais F.C.
